Bringing our bibles back to church is not a new invention. We are not creating some new approach to worship, we are just welcoming Bibles back into our hands. We can find text up on the screen, in the service folder, in an "Ap" on our cell devices or maybe they are sitting in our pews already, but for many, this is the only time of the week that we may decide to pick up the greatest book today. Our kids are learning at All Saints, the Bible has been treasured around the world for 4,000 years, the Bible has been hand-copied more than any other book, the Bible was written over a period of 1,500 years by about 40 different authors, the Bible has been translated into more languages than any other book, the Bible was the first book on a printing press and finally, more Bibles have been printed than any other book. Together, we are coming to a greater understanding of the life that God has in store for us. As leaders and parents, we desire to learn with our kids and even at times, through our kids.
Possibly for some of us, we need to re-connect or restore our relationship with God through His Word. We welcome you here with us.
From Sunday to Sunday, we will be picking up the Bible, searching and learning about the texts, the order of the books of the bible and the themes of the bible while coming to an awareness of Bible translations and their similiarities and differences.
